Mohamed Nasser Hamdan Al Zaabi is a dynamic leader at the intersection of public service excellence and private sector agility, with over 25 years of diverse experience rooted in family business and strategic roles within leading government entities and corporations. As Chairman and Board Member of various companies, Mohamed utilizes his extensive C-level experience and business acumen to spearhead initiatives of both local and global significance.
In his current roles, Mohamed provides strategic insights and oversees high-impact projects across multiple sectors, including global trade, government affairs, energy, oil & gas, sustainability, construction, real estate development, technology, and AI. His leadership has been pivotal in driving economic growth and shaping key initiatives that promote development on a national and international scale.
During his tenure as Director of various UAE government departments—such as Investment, Trade Promotion, WTO & Trade Negotiations, and the Minister of Economy's Executive Office from 2011 to 2024—Mohamed collaborated closely with seven UAE ministers, leading teams of senior advisors and executing the government’s trade and investment agenda. Concurrently, he served as the CEO of Investopia, an initiative under the 'Projects of the 50,' where he successfully launched its inaugural and subsequent editions. Under his leadership, Investopia attracted over $2 trillion in assets under management (AUM), establishing itself as a premier destination for global investors.
Mohamed has played a key role in various government initiatives, including the UAE Investment Law, Golden Visa, and CEPA. He has also held strategic positions at esteemed corporations such as Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company - Masdar and Aldar Properties PJSC, focusing on corporate business development.
Today, Mohamed's influence extends beyond national borders through his involvement on the boards of international organizations. He has served as the Trade and Investment Ambassador for KOTRA (Korea), a member of the Etihad Customer Advisory Board for Etihad Airways, and an Independent Member of Investment Committees for various investment firms, where he continues to drive international partnerships and investments.
